Day 14: Relaxed Sabbath

  • 1 bowl Multigrain Cheerios & Rice Krispies (mixed together) w/ 1%milk (breakfast)
  • 1.5 PB&J sandwiches, 1 tall glass 1% milk, a bite from each child's bowl of self-saucing pudding (lunch & mommy tax)
  • 2 eggs scrambled with ham & cheddar, 2 Carrot-Cake pancakes w/ SB & maple syrup, glass of 1% milk, large mug of apple cinnamon herbal tea w/ agave nectar (dinner)
Those pancakes were super good. I highly recommend the recipe.

Day 13: Youth Temple Trip / Dinner with Harts & Dyers

  • 1.5 c dry Corn Pops, 4 clementines, 1 Nutrigrain bar (all between 5 - 9 am)
  • 1 tiny bowl of cheerios w/1% milk (late breakfast after running)
  • 2 leftover crèpes filled with onions, mushrooms, swiss & ham, water (lunch)
  • 1 berry Gogurt
  • (all food was homemade and delicious, which is why I ate waaaay too much) 3 spring rolls, 2.5 pork bao, 2 large helpings salad, 1 tiny bowl coconut lemongrass soup, 1/2 can root beer, 1 glass ginger ale, several glasses water

Day 12: Dessert (hurray!) of the Week

I was invited over to brunch at Suzanne's house today and ate a little more (okay, more than a little more) than usual. I am a sucker for breakfast foods.
  • 1 tiny bowl of corn pops w/ 1% milk (pre-breakfast, after my run)
  • 3/4 bagel w/ cream cheese, 1 small slice asparagus quiche, 2 slices crumb cake, 1 hot cocoa, 1 small glass OJ (brunch)
  • handful of animal crackers
  • 1 6 oz Breyers yogurt
  • 1 onion, mushroom, ham & swiss-filled crepe, 1/2 chicken cordon bleu breast, roast potatoes, water (late dinner)
  • 1 large piece chocolate fudge self-saucing pudding w/ mint choc. chip ice cream, water

Day 11: Thrift Store Shopping with Ami

Last night a friend commented that it makes such a difference when you don't eat past 7.30pm. I told her the main difference I see is that I'm STARVING in the morning. But so far we are doing great with that goal. I'm usually done eating for the day by 6.45pm.

  • 2 slices whole wheat toast w/ SB & peach jam, water (breakfast)
  • 15 chocolate chips scattered with a few craisins
  • 1.5 leftover cheddar biscuits
  • 1 6oz Dannon vanilla yogurt w/ 1 c rice Chex, 1 banana (late lunch)
  • 2 graham crackers w/ 1 tbsp nutella
  • 1.5 slices tomato, basil, & feta quiche, roasted brussel sprouts, steamed green beans, water (dinner)
  • 1 mug instant hot cocoa

Day 10: First Run of the New Year

  • 1/2 c TJ's fat-free blueberry muesli in skim milk, which I decided was gross, threw out, and ate a bowl of rice Chex with 1/2 banana instead (breakfast)
  • 11 chocolate chips
  • a too-big piece of leftover lasagna, 2 bread sticks (lunch)
  • 3 tbs Brenna's homemade gingersnap ice cream (cleaning the container to return to her)
  • 3 graham crackers w/ 1 tbs natural peanut butter & 1 tbs Nutella, 8oz. 1% milk
  • 1 bowl Chicken Noodle Soup, 1.5 Cheddar Cheese Biscuits, glass of water (dinner)

Day 9: Gloomy Tuesday

  • 2 bowls of cereal (1 Life, 1 Corn Pops) w/ 1% milk (breakfast)
  • about 1 c dry Chex mixed w/ craisins & chocolate chips
  • 1 banana
  • 2 slices whole wheat toast w/ SB & jam, 1 c TJ's white cheddar pirate's booty, glass of water (lunch)
  • lasagna w/ meat sauce, broccoli, 3 bread sticks, water (dinner)

Day 8: Couch Shopping with Mom & Mike

  • 2 regular-sized pancakes w/ natural peanut butter & maple syrup, glass of water (breakfast)
  • Cuban sandwich, side salad, water (lunch - Mike took us out)
  • 6 oz raspberry Dannon yogurt
  • 1 c dry Corn Pops cereal
  • 1 bowl French onion soup, glass of water (dinner)
  • mug of Honey Vanilla Chamomile tea w/ agave nectar
